I am a graduate of the Psychology and Interactive Media & Game Design programs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Through my dual major, I have studied a variety of topics ranging from software development, game design, and social psychology. While these two disciplines may seem quite different, I have been able to use this combined knowledge to build games and software that conform to basic principles of psychology. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning principles from both disciplines and plan to continue this pursuit of knowledge by creating more engaging content.
In addition to work I've done at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, I've also spent a lot of time working in my field for various employers. Most recently, I worked as a Web Content Manager for SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Under the direction of my supervisor, Lynne Browne, I assisted in keeping the website up-to-date while managing the hundreds of pages in the sunypoly.edu domain.
Outside of SUNY Polytechnic Institute, I worked as an Instructor for iD Tech Summer Camps. Starting in Spring 2018, I began working at the New Paltz location where I taught several courses on topics such as game development and modding. I returned to New Paltz in 2019 as the Lead Instructor & Back-Up Director, where I taught more courses and was able to inspire another group of young creators. You can read about my experience in my internship blog, which was updated weekly throughout my summer at iD Tech in 2018.
